O-type oil-immersed high-breaking capacity high-voltage current-limiting fuse
O-type oil-immersed high breaking capacity high voltage current limiting fuse is a fuse with the advantages of good sealing, low power consumption, high breaking capacity, fast action and good protection characteristics.
I. Scope of Application:
O-type oil-immersed, high-breaking-capacity, high-voltage, current-limiting fuses are suitable for use in power systems operating at 50 Hz, with rated voltages of 3.6 to 24 kV and rated currents of 200 A (3.6 kV), 160 A (7.2 kV), and 125 A (12 kV) or less. They provide overload and short-circuit protection for transformers and other electrical equipment. They can also be used with load switches, vacuum contactors, and other equipment. These high-voltage fuses comply with national standards (GB15166.2), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) IEC282-1, and British Standards (BS).
II. Structural Features:
O-type high-voltage fuses offer both plug-in and busbar connection options, featuring compact installation, reliable contact, and easy replacement. A powder-type striker is connected in parallel to a coiled melt made of pure silver sheets, sealed within a melt tube along with chemically treated, high-purity quartz sand. The tube is constructed of high-strength, high-temperature-resistant alumina porcelain. In the event of a circuit fault, the melt melts, and when an arc forms within the melt, the striker's high-resistance wire, connected in parallel with the melt, instantly melts. Ignition of the powder-type striker generates high pressure, rapidly ejecting the striker and pushing the interlocking electrical contacts, automatically switching the circuit or signaling a fuse.
